A 24-Gd nanocapsule with a large magnetocaloric effect.
Two 24-nuclear lanthanide clusters, and were obtained and structurally characterized. Magnetic investigations reveal that exhibits the largest entropy change (-ΔS(m)) of 46.12 J kg(-1) K(-1) for ΔH = 7 T in all reported molecular clusters, and single-molecule magnet behaviour is observed in .
متن کاملThe magnetocaloric effect in R5Si4 (R = Gd, Tb): a Monte Carlo calculation
In this work we calculate the magnetocaloric effect in the compounds Gd5Si4 and Tb5Si4. We use a model Hamiltonian of interacting spins, and treat the spin–spin interaction in the Monte Carlo simulation. The theoretically calculated isothermal entropy change and the adiabatic temperature change upon variation of the magnetic field are in good agreement with the available experimental data. The ...

متن کاملthe effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)
cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Magnetocaloric effect and thermal conductivity of Gd(OH)3 and Gd2O(OH)4(H2O)2.
Magnetocaloric effect (MCE) and thermal conductivity of two gadolinium hydroxides, Gd(OH)3 (1) and Gd2O(OH)4(H2O)2 (2), are investigated. Magnetic studies indicate that both 1 and 2 exhibit antiferromagnetic interaction, and the MCE values for 1 and 2 at 2 K and ΔH = 7 T are 62.00 J kg(-1) K(-1) and 59.09 J kg(-1) K(-1), respectively. Investigation of their thermal conductivity reveals that the...
